Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 7:30 am–4:30 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (717) 845-8617. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is familyfirsthealth.org, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating stands at 2.5 out of 5 from 26 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.
York is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Hardest place to get appointments with they make you call on monday mornings for appointments and never have any.. my daughter been needing work done and they give me an appointment for a cleaning when I been calling for over 5 months to try to get her cavity taken care of. This morning she had an appointment but she is very sick I call to reschedule and they tell me they can’t because she is sick! She won’t be sick for ever I just wanted to reschedule rather then call every Monday for another 5 months to try to get an appointment! Worse experience with this dental office I have ever encountered!

By far THE WORST place ever ! Sad because Majority of the providers are GREAT ! The front desk are TERRIBLE , no communication, no documentation of conversations they’ve had with patients , I literally had 4 different staff call me to confirm the same appt … Each time nothing was communicated NOTHING ! Then they have the audacity to speak in Spanish and make racial comments about my child and I … NOT knowing that I’m CLEARLY Puerto Rican & speak Spanish FLUENTLY ! Terrible TERRIBLE TERRIBLE & to make matters WORSE … there’s NEVER any supervision ! The front desk are up front AirPods in their ears , eating food and talking amongst themselves when patients are looking to be helped . The level of unprofessionalism is CRAZY to me and I just can’t even FATHOM this EXPERIENCE !

I showed up an hour before my appointment under the impression my appointment was at 2 instead of 3 (my mistake). The receptionist was incredibly kind and ran to the back to speak with Dr. Richmond who was able to see me almost immediately instead of me having to leave and come back. That was GREATLY appreciated <3 Dr. Richmond is excellent! He truly cares about his patients and it shows through the quality of care he provides. As someone who doesn’t particularly enjoy dental appointments, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience:)

My poor sad girlfriend went here. She has an infection in her decayed tooth. You can and could see the infection. It was white and puffy. She’s been in extreme pain for about 5 days now. They didn’t prescribe her an antibiotic or ibuprofen. We decided to go to SmileBuilderz in Lancaster. They ended up telling us she has a severe infection! The bigger receptionist was very rude just to add on to the experience. Doctor Terrence was disrespectful and not helpful. I understand this job is stressful and can be frustrating. The thing is my girlfriend is 17 years old and got treated this way. When you come to work for one come with respect and a smile even if it’s forced. For two make people feel comfortable. For three know what you’re talking about! How did no one know she had an infection in her decayed tooth. 2 star place for a reason! Trust the reviews people!!!!

I really needed some dental work done and haven’t been to a dentist in 8 years. I went in to fill out and application for low-income assistance. Handed my application to the woman at the desk hoping to have more information. She said “okay call in two weeks to see if you’re approved” Two weeks later I call and they tell me “you have to make an account” Would have been nice to know when I spoke to someone in person and asked for info. Okay, well now I have to re-apply with the woman on the phone. She was helpful and filled everything out for me and said call back in a couple days. I actually waited a little over a week before I called back. Call back again and give my information and I’m told “sorry, I don’t see you in our system” Cool, so now I’ve waited a month and it seems they just throw away your info as soon as you hand it over to them? What a joke. This is so unfortunate and I want to cry because I thought I might finally have a chance at dental health. Shame on you for claiming to help and then doing absolutely nothing to actually help people.
